Critical Mass / Becoming a Square

I must be turning into an L7. On my ride home from work this evening I ran into critical mass, and "damn" was my first thought.

The almost critical mass of cyclists was careening towards the Broadway Tunnel and I knew I had to beat them in to salvage my commute, which I did with gusto. [By using the word "gusto" my Tycoon Status has been revoked.]

ha ha. Halloween is about the only Critical Mass I bother with anymore. I mean, SF Halloween CM has got to be one of the 5 largest group rides in the world. (right?)

the costumes this year were a little disappointing though.

How quickly we lose Tycoon Status...

I've been meaning to ask this: why do messengers generally dislike CM and everyone in it?

hheey buddy.... i wish i had seen you just i was heading into the tunnel; it would have been nice to race you in the semi closed coarse.. yeah; i know critical mass is lame; but i had to do it was halloween and critical mass on the same night. anywho; probably should have done this earlier but he at least i got to it, see you at the shop; i need to get some warmers and what not....
